Commissioner for Human Rights for Primorsky region, Valery Rozov, together with the head of the State Labor Inspectorate, Irina Nikulova, held a joint reception of citizens on July, 12. The main topic of this reception was labor rights protection.

More than 45 years Nadezhda Osipenko worked for a company. Former head of the company loved and respected the honored worker. But now, when new director came to the company, it appeared that she is no longer needed. In attempts to protect her rights, she came to the Commissioner for Human Rights.

Elena Dudarev came to the reception from Ussuriysk to see Valery Rozov. Maternity leave costed her her job position.

Commissioner for Human Rights in Primorsky region has a big list of administrative functions. But, sometimes, human sympathy and understanding means much more than official response on complaint. Citizens, whose labor rights were violated, came to today’s meeting.  

Valery Rozov, Commissioner for Human Rights in Primorsky region: "Today we are holding our reception together with the head of Labour Inspectorate, this organization has legal ways for  restoration of justice.”

Irina Nikulova, the head of State Labour Inspectorate in Primorsky region, says: "I think that we will hold this kind of meetings more often. Furthermore citizens apply not only to the inspection, but also to the Prosecutor's Office and investigative committees, so there is a need to cooperate with them also".

All people that came to the reception of citizens received answers and consultations on wage’s payment, hiring, firing and other labor related matters. Such joint reception of citizens will be carried out more often in the future.
