Within the first half of 2016, Russia became 9% more popular among foreign tourists. Primorsky region became one of the most popular among travelers: tourist flow to this region from abroad increased by 94%, which means it twice exceeded last year data for the same period.

Cruise liner "Sun Princess" came to Vladivostok port from the South Korean Incheon port. It stayed in Vladivostok for less than a day, but program for tourists was prepared so, that  they could see all the sights of the city, and all the habitants and visitors of the capital of Primorsky region could see the majestic passenger liner. This cruise liner is one of three triplet-liners, was heaved  off in December 1995. The liner can accommodate almost 2.5 thousand passengers and about 800 crew members. Vladivostok -  is the only port this liner stopped in during it’s 76-days Pacific cruise, which began on 21st of June from the port of Australian Sydney. On the day when “Sun Princess” entered Vladivostok port, it became known that tourist flow to Primorsky region from abroad increased by 94% , which means it twice exceeded last year data for the same period. Primorsky region is the only one in Russia, where such results have been achieved.

Jin Guanyun, a tourist from China says: "That is the first time we have got a chance to travel together with the family. We would really like to travel a lot, fortunately, we have saved enough money for this, and so decided to start from Vladivostok. "

Liu Xiaohu, a tourist from China says: "The air here is very pleasant and clean, here I like everything! Sometimes, though, it is difficult that no one, besides tour-gРіides, speaks Chinese language, and if interpreter is not around there is no chance for communication".

For example, foreign tourist flow in Moscow increased by only 4%, foreign tourist flow in St. Petersburg decreased by 6%. This data is provided by press-service of "Skyscanner". Interest of foreigners to Primorsky region is stirred up by the currency exchange rate, which, at present, makes a trip to Russia very profitable.

The growth of popularity of Vladivostok city among tourists can also be explained by the pricing policy of some airline companies. For example, Vladivostok –Seoul or Vladivostok- Busan round-trip airfare does not exceed $ 250.
